2010 GOLF TOURNAMENT IN AUSTIN - MARCH 4th

The second annual With Carson Golf for Lacrosse Tournament is less than two months away. This is a fundraiser for the Austin High Lacrosse team as well as With Carson. Tournament proceeds are used to provide funding for the Austin High Boys Lacrosse Team, support Team ALP, and facilitate alcohol and hazing awareness programs.

The first year was a great success due to the involvement of many lacrosse community parents and others. With your help, we are hoping for an even bigger and more successful tournament this year.

Here’s how you can be involved:

The goal this year is to have at least 15 teams or 60 players, last year we had 12 teams. Consequently, we need 15 team captains. A team captain is responsible for putting together a four person team and collecting the team's money.

1st And 2nd Place Team, Closest To Hole, and Longest Drive (Men & Women) Prizes

The Cost of the tournament is $100 per player and includes lunch and prizes.

Hole sponsorship for the 18 holes (signs with family or business sponsor will be placed at each tee box) are available. The cost is $125 per hole except for one and ten, which will be $250 each.

Early registration discounts are available here.We look forward to another "Sea of Blue" on the streets of Austin.We will provide information cards for all participants to hand out along the route to help spread our message. You may wear your shirt from last year or please contact Julia Starkey here to order a new shirt.

AUSTIN HIGH HAZING AND ALCOHOL PRESENTATIONS

Representatives from the Gordie Foundation gave presentations, including the High School version of the documentary HAZE, to the Junior and Senior classes of Austin High.These presentations took place during school on Friday, May 15th, the day before Prom.The presentation and film are very informative and eye opening. As part of our Project Community initiative, we are working on a family presentation for the Fall.This will be an opportunity to come face these issues as a family.

2009 GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 1st Annual With Carson Golf for Lacrosse benefiting the Austin High School Boys Lacrosse team and the With Carson Fund was held on April 16th.The turnout was unbelievable and all participants had a great time.Hazing awareness and alcohol poisoning were the topics over lunch and the seriousness of these issues were realized by all. Carson's Lacrosse jersey was officially retired.Proceeds from this tournament are being used to provide Lacrosse scholarships and to facilitate alcohol and hazing programs for the Lacrosse team and Austin High students.Plans for the next tournament are already in the works.

2009 CAP 10K

This would have been Carson's tenth consecutive year to participate.To honor Carson, we were joined by 200 friends and family wearing With Carson blue shirts as we carried a quilt made from Carson's nine past t-shirts across the finish line.This event was a huge success as we reached a lot of people with our message.We were a visible example of living in community - this is only the beginning.Look for this to be an annual event.
